These terms govern your use of deadmap
(map.fusr.info), a crowd-sourced tactical map for the game
Worldwide Dead (wwdead.com, "WWDead"), operated by
the operator of map.fusr.info (the "operator", reachable at
privacy@fusr.info). The operator
acts pseudonymously: no personal identity is published on this site,
and correspondence is through the address above.
deadmap is an independent, community-run project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the developers or publishers of WWDead in any way; all game names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. deadmap works because players install a small browser userscript (the "probe") in their own browser. The probe runs entirely on your machine, reads the game pages you are already viewing, and sends changes to the deadmap server, where they are rendered into a shared map. The probe never interacts with the game's own servers.
identify scope — your username, display name,
avatar, and user ID. See the
Privacy Policy.Everything deadmap knows about the game world comes from what you and other players choose to report from your own sessions. You can stop reporting at any time by disabling or removing the probe. Disabling the probe stops new data; it does not erase what you already reported (to have your data removed, see the Privacy Policy).
You may not, and agree that you will not:
The map layers (building states, power, barricades, populations, snapshots) are public and need no login. Character names, locations, and profile details that you or other players provide are visible to other logged-in deadmap users and to the operator — that is the point of a shared map. Only submit what you are comfortable with other players and the operator seeing.
THE SERVICE AND ALL DATA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. deadmap's data is crowd-sourced player observation: it may be incomplete, stale, or wrong. You are solely responsible for your own decisions — in-game and out — and the operator is not responsible for any loss, in-game or otherwise, arising from your use of, or reliance on, deadmap.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service.
The operator may change these terms or the service at any time; continued use after a change means you accept it. The operator may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using deadmap at any time; to have your data deleted, contact the operator (see the Privacy Policy).
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
